Ash's Goings Ons

It's a little blog about what's up with me.

*Yawn*

My posting irregularity is lame, and I know it.  I confess the reason is that I don't feel super interesting right now, but here are the happenings:

School has started, and I am overwhelmed with tons of stuff to do.  Most of this stuff is reading on the order of hundreds of pages weekly.  My brain capacity is taxed.  My classes are:
   Research Methods
Graduate Seminar on Food Systems and Transportation
   Systems Analysis and Strategic Management
   Landscape Ecology
In summary, systems and research.  Additionally, I am the teaching assistant for the intermediate Macro class, which I'm pretty excited about since macro is rather awesome and the perspective is ecological economic.  This is my first experience grading undergrads, and boy, do they think they are sneaky!  Font size, margins, headings.  Comeon people.  It's all obvious; I have used Word before, too.

Outside of school, I have a new running buddy.  Yay!  And fencing has just started again.  Yay!  These things combined with the busy schedule combine to explain why my FB statuses are so food related lately.

Oh!  It's time for me to go hand back these 16 font sized papers with double spaced headings.  I should have some knitting stuff to post soonish.

Embrace the boring Ash! Soon you will learn to find wonder in the mundane (much to the dismay of your other blog-readers, if mine are any indication)... An added bonus: it sets the blog interest bar lower so they will be super excited when you actually post something genuinely exciting that normal people find interesting.

relative to the variety that you have going on, the rest of us are leading the charge toward the mundane.

Yay for buddies, though my cycling buddy is temporarily in Michigan :-(
